That said, while you’re here, our client needs somebody, too! Mate Pavkovic is looking for a Legal Assistant (Commercial & Civil Litigation) to ‘help’ our client’s bustling practice.
The successful candidate will have the capacity to perform duties with speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail. This position is ideal for self-starters with excellent writing and communication skills.
POSITION: LEGAL ASSISTANT (COMMERCIAL & CIVIL LITIGATION) LOCATION: TORONTO INDUSTRY: LEGAL SERVICES
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage daily operation of a bustling legal practice with a primary focus in Civil & Commercial Litigation.
· Prepare, edit and complete all necessary correspondence and documentation.
· Assist with finalization of various litigation documents for Civil, Commercial, Divisional and Court of Appeal including; motion records, pleadings, notices, affidavits, affidavits of documents and bill of costs
· Handle daily administrative details and manage duties related to accounting.
· Arrange meetings + calendar management.
REQUIREMENTS
· 5+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in Litigation.
· Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
· Excellent knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
· Previous experience with Caselines and ACL.
· Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands.
REMUNERATION SALARY RANGE: $60,000 – $80,000 OTHER: benefits + vacation + professional & wellness programs
