By staying to the left, the dominant right hand, (often holding a sword), remained free for defense. Riding on the left allowed knights and travelers to keep their weapons ready and made it safer to pass by others, as their right hand was unobstructed for protection.

Most of the world’s countries that drive on the left (78 in total) were once British colonies. Interestingly, Canada used to drive on the left as well, but switched to the right to simplify border crossings with the United States.

That said, now that we have your attention, we’d like to tell you about our latest role.Mate Pavkovic is looking for a Family Law Lawyer for our client in Vaughan. SUMMARY: Our client is a full-service litigation firm located in Vaughan, Ontario.They specialize in commercial/civil litigation, construction law, business/corporate law, labour/employment law, family law and criminal/fraud law. Their team of seasoned Litigation experts provides outstanding litigation expertise in the service of client needs.

POSITION:    FAMILY LAW LAWYER INDUSTRY:   LEGAL

LOCATION:  VAUGHAN, ON RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Proficiency in handling files independently relating to separation agreements and spousal maintenance.

·       Experience in conducting, hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.

REQUIREMENTS:

·       4+ years of Family Law experience

·       Comfortable instructing support staff, receiving instructions from clients, drafting pleadings, speaking to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations, appearing at trial and handling all aspects of a file from start to finish.

·       Time management skills including ability to balance competing demands and time-sensitive tasks.

·       Self-motivated to aim for a work product that exceeds expectations.

·       Commitment to the highest level of client service and professionalism.

·       Strong work ethic & interpersonal skills.

REMUNERATION:

SALARY: $90,000 – $150,000 OTHER: Health Coverage, including vision and dental (after 90 days of service)
