Born in 1945 in Soleiman, Iran, Mehran Karimi Nasseri had an Iranian father and a British mother. In 1974, he left for England to attend college but was imprisoned and deported back to Iran without his passport. After his deportation, Nasseri unsuccessfully sought asylum across several European countries. Eventually, he received a refugee certificate from a UN organization in Belgium but lost the briefcase containing the certificate at a Paris train station. Lacking the necessary identification papers, he was unable to enter the UK and was sent back to Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris. With nowhere else to go, Nasseri made the airport's Terminal 1 his home, where he lived for an incredible 18 years until his death on November 13, 2022.His unusual story inspired Steven Spielberg's film "The Terminal” – starring Tom Hanks. POSITION: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE: GTA INDUSTRY: 3PL / TRANSPORTATION
SUMMARY: Reporting to the VP of Transportation, the Inside Sales Representative will sell Freight LTL, FL, warehousing, and rework services. The ISR will reach business targets via excellent telephone sales and communication skills. They will create sales leads, initiate prospect calls, and establish an ongoing rapport with existing and potential clients. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Generate and qualify new business leads through promotions, cold calling, and inbound inquiries.
· Identify + engage decision-makers to start and expand the sales process within targeted accounts.
· Collaborate with senior management on strategic sales approaches and manage key accounts.
· Develop new clients, maintain business relationships, and support Customer Success Managers with qualified opportunities.
· Maintain + expand the prospect database, handle follow-ups, and ensure proper lead handoff.
· Support marketing initiatives, handle cross-selling and up-selling, and manage sales pipeline.
· Communicate brand identity, manage customer data, and participate in sales training.
· Assist with other duties as assigned to support company objectives and business development.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree or similar relevant experience.
· 3 years of direct sales or inside sales experience – ideally within the logistics sindustry.
· Experience with Freight LTL, FL, warehouse, and rework services is preferred.
REMUNERATION:
BASE SALARY: $50,000 ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $20,000 – $40,000 (uncapped) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $70,000 – $90,000
